Argentine Middle School
2123 Ruby - Kansas City, Kansas

Sunday - November 2, 2003
2:00 - 4:00 p.m.

You are invited to attend a ceremony formally naming the auditorium at Argentine Middle School in honor of Saturnino Alvarado.  In June, the Kansas City, Kansas Board of Education approved the naming of the auditorium for Mr. Alvarado.  The Board approved the community request to rename the auditorium in acknowledgment of the efforts by Mr. Alvarado to bring an end to the segregation of Mexican children at Argentine High School in 1930.  His dedication resulted in the open enrollment of Mexican students at the high school.

Dr. Ray Daniels, Superintendent of Schools
