Grants

Dear Community Partner,

While recognizing that grants can be a positive solution to funding needs, the Kansas City, Kansas Public School District wants to ensure that all sought after grant funds are aligned with the vision and goals of the district. This becomes even more critical in difficult economic times as the district cannot commit itself with such limited resources without a clear understanding of the fiscal and human resource obligation required in the grant.

Therefore, anyone wishing to apply for a grant will submit a request to pursue the grant and must obtain approval from my office prior to writing or submitting the grant. I will review requests, including such factors as how the grant would relate to our district goals. This will allow the district to better coordinate and monitor grants.

In the right column is the link to an "Intent to Apply for Grant Funding" form. Please submit requests for grant approval to Alan King, Curriculum Director at 2010 N. 59th Street, Kansas City, KS 66104.

Thank you for your organizations' wish to partner/collaborate with the district on grant proposals to enhance the achievement of our students while providing them a positive education experience.

We appreciate your cooperation in this process of tracking grant opportunities.

Sincerely,
Alan King, Curriculum Director
