Events Focus on Financial Support for College

The Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools is hosting several "Financing College" events to provide high school seniors and their families with resources to help them apply for college aid.

The time, dates and locations are as follows:

  • Thursday, Feb. 20, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Wyandotte High School
  • Tuesday, February 25, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the KCKPS Central Office
  • Thursday, February 27, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at J.C. Harmon High School
  • Tuesday, April 15, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the KCKPS Central Office

Staff will be on hand to help families complete FAFSA applications (W-2 information and 2013 tax returns will be needed). Other financial aid resources will be available. Food and refreshments will be provided.

"Financing College" is being led by PREP-KC in collaboration with KCKPS, KCK Community College, Donnelly College, KU Trio Talent Search, Kansas Kids @ GEAR UP, KU Financial Aid Office and the KU Center for Educational Opportunity Programs.
