Events Focus on College Financial Support for KCKPS Seniors

Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools is hosting several “Financing College” events to provide high school seniors and their families with resources to help them apply for college financial aid.

The times, dates and locations are as follows:

  • Tuesday, Feb. 24, 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at KCKPS Central Office
  • Thursday, Feb. 26, 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Wyandotte High School
  • Monday, April 13, 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at KCKPS Central Office

Staff will be available to help families complete FAFSA applications (W-2 information and 2014 tax returns will be needed).  Other financial aid resources will be available.  “Financing College” events are free to attend and refreshments will be provided.

“Financing College” is sponsored by the Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools and the College Access & Success Partners (Kansas City, Kansas Community College, Donnelly College, KU TRIO Talent Search, Kansas Kids @ Gear Up, KU Office of Financial Aid, KU Center for Educational Opportunity Programs and Prep-KC).
