Enrollment Information

The following documents are REQUIRED to enroll your child: 

  • State Issued Birth Certificate or I 94 
  • Proof of Residency (any current mail in parents name – not junk mail; Driver’s License – not expired; or lease
  • Proof of Income (12 months worth) 
  • Physical (must be within the last year) which must include hemoglobin and lead numeric test results
  • Immunizations 
  • Dental exam (must be within last year) 

Successful Beginnings Wyandotte County Head Start and KCKPS Early Childhood Programs provide: 

  • Certified Teachers 
  • Creative Curriculum 
  • Assessments 
  • Progress Reports 
  • Parent Involvement 

Programs offered through Successful Beginnings Wyandotte County Head Start and KCKPS Early Childhood

Head Start 

  • Serves 3 and 4 year olds (by 8/31/16) 
  • Also serves Turner and Piper school districts
  • Half Day and Full Day 

Whole family approach includes: 

  • Parent Meetings 
  • Family Service Worker support 
  • Home Visits 
  • Criteria set by the Federal Government 
  • Income based

State Pre K 

  • Serves 4 years old (by 8/31/16) 
  • Half day 
  • Parent Conferences 
  • Criteria set by the State of Kansas 

SPARK 

  • Serves 3 and 4 years old (by 8/31/16) 
  • Must reside in identified boundaries of Wyandotte/Harmon (south and east part of KCK) 
  • Half day 
  • Parent Conferences 
  • Criteria set by the State of Kansas
