2020-21 Enrollment: New KCKPS Students

While Covid-19 has changed so much in our everyday lives – getting back to school is something the Kansas City Kansas School district is very excited about. In order to make sure that all students are served– school enrollment remains an important factor in getting ready for the school year.

On July 21st, the Kansas City School Board voted to move the start date of the 20-21 school year to September 9th. For the first 9 weeks all students will begin the year online/virtually. Devices will be provided by the district and hotspots for those without wifi in their home. That is why starting on Monday, July 27th, the district will begin the online enrollment period for all new students to the district. Even though enrollment is not in person, the process will require the same documents in order for properly enrolling your student.

Once again only students new to the district will need to enroll. Before you start you will want to gather the following documents:

  • Proof of address
    • Approved documents include: Driver’s license, utility bill, mail from the government such as Medicaid, SSI, insurance, etc.
    • For those who reside in another household:
  • Birth Certificate
  • Medical Records
  • Transcript

To get started:

Go to the district website  www.kckps.org and click on the Infinite Campus Registration tab. Registration can be done on a computer or with the use of a cell phone.

  • Click on “Start New Registration” to complete the registration.
  • Registration is required to enroll for the 2020-2021 school year.
