Arrowhead Middle School Athletes Nominated for Walmart’s Heart Program

Arrowhead Middle School athletes Daniel Vette and his sibling, Elly Vette were nominated for Walmart’s Heart Program by their coach Andrea Janes. “They both give one hundred percent at every practice; they always have a positive attitude and both are amazing athletes,” said Janes. The Walmart Heart Program began in Seymour, Indiana with four truck drivers. Their goal was to give back to their community. Those nominated for the program become an honorary Walmart truck driver, receive a custom uniform and a ride in the semi- truck.

The Vette siblings were presented with the “Private Fleet Honorary Driver” certificates. Classmates cheered on the Vette siblings as they were escorted for their ride in the semi- trucks. KCK police and firefighters led the drivers to the Legends Walmart, where the students enjoyed cake and ice cream.
