Childhood Vaccine Clinics Available


 The Unified Government Public Health Department (UGPHD) is offering FREE childhood vaccinations to children who are uninsured or are insured through Kansas Medicaid (KanCare) this summer. If your child has private insurance, please follow up with their primary care doctor or pediatrician about vaccinations. You may also call 913-573-8855 with questions about childhood vaccines. 

1:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at the former Kmart, 7836 State Ave, KCK Grade/Age levels 


Vaccines available 

High School 

Typically those aged 16-18 

USD 500 High schools:  

  • June 9: F.L. Schlagle and Washington High Schools 
  • June 16: J.C. Harmon High School 

Bonner Springs, Piper, and Turner High Schools: June 23 and June 30 

  • #2 MCV4 (Meningococcal/Meningitis) 
  • #1 MENB (Meningococcal/Meningitis B) 
  • #2 HPV (Human Papillomavirus) 

Elementary School 

Typically those aged 4-6 

All districts: July 7, July 14, and July 21 

  • #5 DTaP (tetanus, diphtheria, & pertussis) 
  • #4 IPV (Polio) 
  • #2 MMR (Measles, Mumps, & Rubella) 
  • #2 Varicella (Chicken Pox) 
  • #1 or #2 Hep A (Hepatitis A) 

If your child is overdue for any vaccinations, you may have already received a letter from your school nurse notifying you of the vaccines your child needs. If you have questions on this, please contact your school nurse. Please note: if your child is several years behind on vaccinations, they may need additional vaccinations. 

To save time, fill out the following forms in advance of your visit. These forms are attached to this letter, and printed copies are also available at your school and at the vaccine site for those who do not have a printer. 

Need transportation? Request a ride by calling 3-1-1 or going online to and clicking on the gold “Request a Ride” button. The Mobile Vaccine Request is not available for this program.
