High School Seniors

During this time, high school seniors will have the opportunity to interact with various colleges, universities, trade-schools, and branches of the military. Students who have received scholarship offers from our partner schools, participating in the Scholarship Initiative, should bring their letters with them to the College Fair. Seniors, please connect with those schools first.

12:00-2:00 Schedule

  • 12:00-1:00 Sumner Seniors (At least 200 seniors – Five busses picking up at 11:40)
  • 12:15-1:15 Wyandotte Seniors (At least 200 seniors – Five busses picking up at 11:50)
  • 12:30-1:30 Harmon Seniors (At least 200 seniors – Five busses picking up at 12:30)
  • 12:45-1:45 Washington Seniors (At least 200 seniors – five busses picking up at 12:45)
  • 1:00-2:00 Schlagle Seniors (At least 200 seniors)
    • Color-coded name tags will be provided for seniors

GEAR UP Presentation for Harmon, Wyandotte and Washington

Due to a shortage of busses available, high school students from Harmon, Wyandotte and Washington, wanting to attend the college fair after school, will need to catch catch a bus before school is dismissed. (See schedule below.) The College Fair will not start back up until 3:00, but GEAR UP has agreed to do a presentation with the students that are participating. Schlagle 9th graders will also be invited to sign up in advance to attend the GEAR UP presentation at 2:00 in the auditorium before the college fair. GEAR UP will recruit the students they work with to participate; specifically 8th and 9th grade students.??

2:00-3:00 Schedule

  • 2:00-3:00 GEAR-UP will do a presentation in the Auditorium at Schlagle for students from Harmon, Washington, and Wyandotte students
    • One Bus – Up to 50 students; Pick up at Harmon at 1:40
    • One Bus – Up to 50 students; Pick up at Wyandotte at 1:45
    • One Bus – Up to 50 students; Pick up at Washington at 1:45

Parents, Community, High School and Middle School Students

The after-school College Fair is designed to give our ???non-seniors??? the opportunity to participate and learn more about the college-going experience. In addition, seniors may also return during this time with their parents for additional exploration and information. All groups will have about an hour to investigate the College Fair. 3:00-5:00 Open to all Parents and their students and KCK Community

    • One Bus – 50 students; Pick up at Harmon at 1:40
    • One Bus – 50 students; Pick up at Wyandotte at 1:45
    • One Bus – 50 students; Pick up at Washington at 1:45
  • 3:30-4:30 Students from Arrowhead, Eisenhower, and Gloria Willis
    • One Bus – 50 students; Pick up at Arrowhead at 3:10
    • One Bus – 50 students; Pick up at Eisenhower at 3:10
    • One Bus – 50 students; Pick up at Gloria Willis at 3:10
  • 3:45-4:45 Students from Argentine, Central, Northwest, Rosedale, and Sumner
    • One Bus – 50 students; Pick up at Argentine at 3:15
    • One Bus – 50 students; Pick up at Central at 3:15
    • One Bus – 50 students; Pick up at Northwest at 3:15
    • One Bus – 50 students; Pick up at Rosedale at 3:15
    • Two Busses – 100 students; Pick up at Sumner at 3:30
      • Sumner has 8th and 9th Grade GEAR UP
