F.L. Schlagle and Wyandotte High Schools Are Recipients of Kauffman Grants to Support Students

The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation has announced grants awarded to Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools’ F.L. Schlagle High School and Wyandotte High School to support bold ideas and help students achieve their goals.

The charitable purpose of the grants are as follows:

  • $200,000 grant to support Wyandotte High School in establishing common assessments, strong professional development structures and a culture of data-driven instruction across English Language Arts (ELA) and math teams during the 2019-20 and 2020-21 school years.
  • $185,000 grant to support the implementation of a comprehensive approach to address the social, emotional and behavioral needs of students at F.L. Schlagle High School during the 2019-20 and 2020-21 school years.
