KidZone Is Available Before and After Summer School to USD 500 K-5 Students
Sites: Emerson Elementary & West Park Elementary
Students will be transported to and from their summer school via KCKPS transportation. Parents will need to notify their student’s summer school site that their student will be riding the bus to/from KidZone. Applications will be available at Emerson and West Park or they can printed from this page, just under this paragraph. Applications MUST be turned in to the student’s specified Summer KidZone site (see the list below).

We are excited to be the before and after-school care provider for your student/students. Our goal is to provide childcare service, academic enrichment, tutoring, and youth development to all families in USD 500 – Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools.
Please note this is the time to start filling out your paperwork to be a part of the program. You can do this by going to your child’s school or visiting the site that your child will attend. The application must be returned to the Kidzone site. Transportation forms must go to your child’s school. There is no approval process.

HOURS OF SERVICES VARY BY INDIVIDUAL SCHOOLS
BEFORE SCHOOL: 7:00 am until 8:00 or 8:30 am
AFTER SCHOOL: 3:15, 3:30 or 4:00 pm until 5:30 pm
Wednesday Early Release: 1:15, 1:30 or 2:00 pm until 5:30 pm
Students enrolled in the Kidzone program at a school that is not their home school will be transported to their home school from Kidzone each morning before breakfast at their home school. In the afternoon, students enrolled in the Kidzone program at a school that is not their home school will be transported from their home school to the Kidzone site where the student is enrolled. Parent drop off and pick up is at the respective Kidzone site. PARENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR COMPLETING THE TRANSPORTATION FORM AND LEAVING IT WITH THE STUDENT’S HOME SCHOOL FRONT OFFICE. The school will process the transportation request through the Transportation Department.
There is a fee for all students who attend the Before and After School Program Monday through Friday. Limited Kidzone Scholarships may be available based on enrollment numbers at each respective site. (Daily rates do not apply)
Kidzone fees for the 2021-2022 school year are as follows:
